Mexico-On-Line » Monterrey

monterrey-cover.gifMonterrey is considered "the city of mountains" as well as Mexico's industrial capital. The Sierra Madre, Cerro de las Mitras, Topo Chico and El Mirador all surround Monterrey making it a beautiful place to hold a business meeting or visit for the view and attractions. The Gran Plaza (see Zona Rosa map) is thought to be one of the world's largest public squares with many monuments and sculptures to view. Visit the Barrio Antiguo (Old Quarter) on the plaza for live music, shops and fantastic restaurants. There is so much to do in Monterrey and just a quick request for suggestions at your hotel desk will give you many options.

If you are staying in a Monterrey resort that offers Mexico timeshare rentals, be sure to visit the concierge desk to see whether your resort stay includes complimentary activities and events. The timeshare resort or hotel staff can also help you to plan and book tours and day excursions outside Monterrey to sites like nearby Cascadas Cola de Caballo, a beautiful park with breathtaking waterfalls, or Grutas de Garcia, a series of impressive caves accessible by scenic cable car just about 40 minutes outside the city.
